Duchess's 'profound scars' from childhood

SARAH Ferguson has opened up about the struggles she has faced over the years as she discussed mental health challenges.

The Duchess of York revealed she had visited the Paracelsus Recovery clinic in Zurich, which focuses on addiction problems.

While it is understood that she was not checked in as a patient, the Duchess was very open about her struggles.

Writing in a national newspaper, Sarah described “the profound scars” of her childhood that “led to feelings of unworthiness [that] contributed to an unhealthy attitude to food that often threatened to spiral into a full-scale eating disorder”.
