Keeper knows Jambos must Schwolow their mettle to maintain challenge at the top as Celts close in
-
IT was left to Alexander Schwolow to deliver a sense of perspective over more dropped points by Hearts in front of the biggest Fir Park crowd since Helicopter Sunday in 2005.
This stalemate meant just three points claimed from the past 15 on offer and it doesn't take Jamestown Analytics to know that data will not have the Premiership flag flying over Tynecastle any time soon.
A run of only one defeat in 14 league games going into December is a scenario the keeper could not have dreamt of when he signed on in Gorgie at the end of August.
But he admits the early season ability to dig out last-gasp results has deserted Derek McInnes' boys.
Schwolow flagged up Callum McGregor's stoppage-time winner against St Mirren a week earlier as the type of moment that separates champions from also-rans.
He's convinced, though, that Hearts can get back to digging out their own triumphs over adversity as Celtic's 2-1 win at Easter Road cut the leaders' cushion to two points having played a game more.
The 33-year-old said: "The run we have been on is unbelievable, so we should always know where we've come from and it's a special situation for us.
"It was our performances which brought us there and we know what we're able to do. The team is so hungry to get those.
"It's normal that you have different runs of form and we just haven't been in top form in the last three games.
