HEARTS manager Derek McInnes described Tynecastle as “a beautiful sight” after his table-topping side’s derby win but he insists his side has not reached their peak.

- BY SCOTT BURNS

Saturday’s last-gasp 1-0 win over Hibs sees the Jambos go into the international break two points clear of Celtic.

McInnes is delighted with the start to the campaign made by his new-look squad and while he won’t entertain in any premature title talk, he does think his players still have levels within them.

He said: “The season is still in its infancy but we are getting plenty of encouragement from the players with what they are giving us.

“I still think we are going to get better as we go along but it is important we recognise it is the performances that are the biggest indicator of trying to get results.

“It is not just having a 20,000 support or not giving maximum effort because that is a given.

“We want to play every game like a derby.

“What we do need at times is to show that quality.
