Carillion money chiefs penalised for role in collapse

THE City watchdog has fined two former finance directors of collapsed construction firm Carillion for their role in making “misleading” statements.

The Financial Conduct Authority said Richard Adam, who served from’ 2007 to 2016, and Zafar Khan — for nine months after him — knew of “serious financial troubles” in Carillion’s UK business but failed to reflect this
