HE’S riding high as Britain’s most famous farmer — but Jeremy Clarkson says the country’s standing in the world is at rock bottom, having “fallen off a cliff”.

The former Top Gear and The Grand Tour petrolhead presenter has successfully ploughed a new furrow with Clarkson’s Farm, and also opened a pub.

But as the fourth Amazon Prime series following his countryside career kicked off yesterday, other farmers and landlords are struggling to survive due to Government cuts. Clarkson, 65, claimed that Britain’s standing has hit “rock bottom”.
