Emily, 23, has wedding again so Bert, 97, can take part
A BRIDE and groom had their wedding day all over again at her grandad’s care home because he was too frail to attend their original big day.
Emily Routledge, 23, got back into her wedding dress to say “I do times two” to Alex Weatherall, 25, as a surprise for her beloved “Grampie” Bert Edwards.
The 97-year-old Navy veteran was left in tears by the sweet gesture, telling the Daily Express: “I was staggered by the whole occasion. It was one of the best days of my life.”
