Adams hat-trick lifts Scotland out of gloom

CHE ADAMS grabbed a hat-trick as Scotland eased to a morale-boosting friendly victory against Liechtenstein in Vaduz.
George Hirst also netted his first international goal as the Tartan Army were given some much-needed cheer in the wake of last Friday's miserable 3-1 home defeat to Iceland, which itself came after a comprehensive 3-0 Nations League play-off loss against Greece at Hampden.
It was a night of firsts for Scotland with Ross Doohan, Josh Doig, Andy Irving, Connor Barron and Kieron Bowie all making their debuts, while Lennon Miller made an impressive first start with a hand in two goals.
Keeper Doohan answered an SOS from national manager Steve Clarke to fly in from a family holiday in Turkey after being handed his first call-up following injuries to Angus Gunn and Robby McCrorie, and rookie Cieran Slicker's difficult debut last week.
Doohan, who is poised to swap Aberdeen for Celtic this summer, probably had the quietest game of his career, not needing to make a save and barely touching the ball in the second half.

A little goes a very long way in the third chapter of director James Cameron's blockbusting franchise. Avatar: Fire And Ash is a masterclass in candyfloss storytelling, expertly fluffing around an hour of linear plot and character development into more than three hours of jaw-dropping visual spectacle that continues to push the envelope for performance capture technology.
