60 delivery riders working illegally will be kicked out
Scottish Daily Express
|December 05, 2025
SOME 60 delivery riders found to be working illegally will be deported following a Daily Express investigation, the Home Office has announced.
A crackdown across the country led to 171 arrests last month, with 60 people detained for removal.
Those arrested included Indian and Bangladeshi riders in Newham, east London, and Indian staff in Norwich.
Footage showed officers escorting an arrested man into the back of an immigration enforcement van, detaining another man by his bike in the street and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood attending an operation in Streatham, South London.
