Scoop USA Newspaper
|ScoopUSA Media, Volume 65 - Number 20
Dear Editor, We, the students of Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia, in affiliation with the We, The People — Elevating Student Voice through Civic Education program, are writing to discuss the ongoing issue of bullying, which has continued to harm the lives of countless students across schools and online communities.
-

Bullying is not just "kids being kids," as some people would like us to think. It has real emotional, psychological, and even physical effects on the people involved. We have seen that a lot of students opt to suffer in silence, which pushes them into isolation and anxiety or even leads them into having fear in spaces that are supposed to be safe, such as schools. With the advancement of social media, cyberbullying has also presented itself as a significant issue, following victims outside school walls and into their homes and spaces of comfort.
