Justin Marshall (22), a senior student at Norfolk State University (NSU), was one of the two victims wounded during a shooting on the school's campus on the night of April 19, 2025. According to reports, a suspect has since been arrested in connection with the shooting, and both victims are expected to recover from their injuries.

Marshall, who was on track to graduate from the historically black institution in the upcoming Fall semester, is studying to be a physician's assistant. Marshall is currently in the early stages of recovering from his injuries, as he was shot five times during the attack on the 19th. However, in the wake of pain, so much love has followed. Marshall’s cousin, Amber Gonzalez, has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help raise funds for hotel stays for Marshall's parents, who reside in Deptford Twp, so they can be by his side as he recovers. Funds are also being raised to cover missed work and bills while the family cares for him, transportation costs to doctor and treatment visits, long-term support for therapy, rehab, and medical care, as well as basic needs during the recovery process.
