IN A remarkable feat combining endurance and social impact, entrepreneur and CEO Keith Boyd has completed a groundbreaking journey, running a staggering 11,000 kilometres from Cape Town to Cairo in just 301 days.

He achieved this extraordinary accomplishment on 22 May 2024, securing a Guinness World Record for the fastest run along this iconic stretch of the African continent. Beyond the physical challenge, Boyd’s mission was deeply rooted in raising awareness for RainbowLeaders.org.za, a foundation dedicated to empowering South Africa's youth and fostering democratic participation.

“Poverty is overwhelmingly a country-specific problem,” Boyd remarked. “Its greatest contributor is poor leadership, which leads to a trust deficit, deterring investment and slowing economic growth. Educating and motivating young people to vote is key to changing that.” This conviction propelled Boyd to undertake the arduous run, showcasing adventure intertwined with a call for civic responsibility and social change.
