Pryce says a squad of 16 is fine if need be

Rutherglen Glencairn co-boss Joe Pryce says they won't rush with new signings-even if it means starting the season with a reduced squad.

Glencairn had 10 signed players, plus two trialists, as they beat Petershill 4-1 at New Petershill Park on Saturday.

Finn McLachlan, 18, climbed off the bench to net the fourth goal, having been promoted from the under-20s, and Pryce says there are plenty more that can make up the numbers, if needed.

Pryce said: “We had only 10 signed fit and available players on Saturday.

“We need a couple more, but we're not going to rush it.

“We've spoken about it, and if we're going to start the season with 16 players, then so be it.
