Rustenburg Herald
|May 30, 2025
The changing of the seasons brings along a change in air quality - which does not only affect humans. Our fourlegged friends are also susceptible to seasonal changes and can suffer greatly.
-
Trevor Brewer, Director at air treatment specialists Solenco, and a pet owner himself, explains that research has shown that dry indoor air can adversely affect the health of our pets, particularly cats and dogs.
"Our pets are susceptible to the same environmental conditions as humans, and low humidity can exacerbate existing allergies, and lead to various health issues like respiratory irritation, dry and flaky skin and potential skin infections from scratching," Brewer says.
