Vibration therapy boost for youngsters

STAFF at charity Stick ‘n’ Step have been delighted to see the impact on children with cerebral palsy of a new device for the classroom called Galileo, which has been kindly funded by Cheshire Freemasons.

The Galileo machine, which uses whole body vibration therapy (WBV), helps improve muscle strength, balance and co-ordination through high-frequency, side-alternating vibrations, that stimulate muscle contractions and enhance neuromuscular control.

As well as having a long history of being used to support people with cerebral palsy, Galileo's WBV has also provided training assistance for astronauts.
