FOLLOWING on from the recent announcement of the fixtures for the Second and Third teams, the all-important details of the fixtures for the First Team have been released.
The fixtures had previously been delayed by a couple of weeks, but the detailed planning can now begin in earnest, as the Wids prepare for a second year at level 6 in Regional 2 North West.
The twelve teams taking part this season are: Birkenhead Park, Firwood Waterloo, Sandbach, Vale of Lune, Burnage, Altrincham Kersal, Douglas (IOM), Northwich, WIDNES, Winnington Park, North Ribblesdale and West Park.
With new Head coach Liam McGovern in the chair, the 'red-and-blacks' have a tough start with three of their opening four matches away from home.
They start their campaign on 6th September, with a game at Birkenhead Park, a team they have not met since season 2014/15 when Park were promoted. This will be followed by a home fixture with Vale of Lune on 13th September.
