'Dog village' scheme near M62 junction

‘DOG village’ complete with dog cafe, training facilities, sand pit and splash pool could be built on the site of an old sewage treatment plant near Widnes if plans get the green light.

Some residents living in Cronton raised concerns earlier this year over trucks moving along Norlands Lane, with it later revealed they were in relation to a planned ‘dog village’

A planning application has now been submitted to Knowsley Borough Council for a facility which would also include a vet practice, kennels, picnic and exercise areas.

The site is currently not in use but was previously operated as a water treatment facility.
