Council backed in rejecting green belt house work
Runcorn Weekly News
|May 08, 2025
A DECISION by Halton Borough Council to refuse permission at a Green Belt property was supported by a planning inspector.
-
The application arose at Tileacres, 29 Hale Road, Hale Village where the proposal was put forward by Steven Leonard.
Mr Leonard told planning officers he was intending two-storey pitched roof extensions to the front and side and a single-storey flat roof extension to the rear. A new roof over an existing side extension and a detached garage were included.
At the time of a visit, inspector A Veevers saw some of the proposed works to the property had taken place.
The house was within the Hale Road Conservation Area and special attention had been paid by the inspector to the desirability of preserving or enhancing its character or appearance.
