A LEVEL students got the chance to put their knowledge to the test in the annual Haslingden Sixth Form version of University Challenge.

- BY CATHERINE SMYTH

Weekly heats were held throughout November and December with students representing the different subjects.

‘The competition was set up by former Head of French Colin Povey and it is now led by Religious Studies Subject Leader Ben Wood and Modern Foreign Languages curriculum lead Holly Taylor.

Staff organised the extracurricular activity for students to test their subject knowledge and it can also be included on their UCAS or apprenticeship applications.
