Anne, 82, rescues falcon from canal

A PEREGRINE falcon has been rescued from drowning in a canal and returned home after she escaped.

Terry Bork, known as farmer Terry who is a children's entertainer, was training Jessie the peregrine falcon at Animal Quackers in Bacup when she snapped the training line and escaped last Friday evening.

Anne Almond, 82, was walking down Rochdale Canal near Todmorden when she spotted Jessie drowning in the canal and being attacked by geese.
