Union MoS for Health & Family Welfare Shri Prataprao Jadhav Inaugurates National Stakeholder Consultation on Sustainable Packaging

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Shri Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav inaugurated the 'National Stakeholder Consultation on Sustainable Packaging for Food Balance: Emerging Challenges & Way Forward' jointly organized by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Authority of India (FSSAI).
Shri Jadhav in his address highlighted the growing importance of sustainable packaging in the food industry, particularly in the context of aging have been prepared by FSSAI after extensive consultations with all stakeholders. He also mentioned that a logo for safe food practices. He also mentioned that a logo for safe and sustainable packaging will be introduced soon.
Shri Jadhav stated that the Union government is committed to promoting sustainable practices in all sectors, including the food industry. He emphasized the need for innovative approaches to minimize environmental impact and improve resource efficiency. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between government, industry, and other stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals.
He said that the food industry has a vital role to play in promoting sustainable packaging practices. He urged industry leaders to adopt innovative technologies and materials that reduce waste and minimize environmental impact. He also emphasized the importance of consumer awareness and education in promoting sustainable packaging choices.
