|August 08, 2025
Farmers of Barnala submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Barnala under the leadership of farmer leader Dhanna Singh Grewal to get the anti-farmer land pooling policy cancelled.
They demanded that the land pooling policy brought by the Punjab government is anti-farmer, hence the Punjab government should withdraw this policy. On this occasion, DC Barnala assured the farmers present that he would send the memorandum with his recommendations to the government. It is worth mentioning that farmers will not allow the 317 acres of land being acquired under this policy in Barnala to be acquired.
