Is Rs 500 Note in your wallet real or fake? Home Ministry issues ‘high importance’ alert

Based on_ intelligence inputs, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday has issued an alert, informing all financial regulatory and enforcement institutions, as well as banks dealing in cash, about “high-quality counterfeit Rs 500 currency notes” that have entered circulation.

A fake 500 rupee note has come in the market which looks exactly like the real one. The Home Ministry has also expressed concern over this and has issued a high alert. The government has warned that these fake 500 rupee notes look quite similar to the real ones and it is difficult to differentiate between them in general, but the government has given some identification marks with the help of which it will be possible to identify fake notes. So, if you get hold of such fake notes, then it will be easy to identify them with the help of these.
