International Biodiversity Day celebrated at DAV College

To mark International Biodiversity Day, the Botany Department and Biotechnology otechnology Department of DAV College Amritsar, in collaboration with Punjab Biodiversity Board and supported by National Biodiversity Authority, Government of India, organized a Rangoli and Poster Making Competition based on the theme “Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development.”The event saw enthusiastic participation of 90 students from 10 schools, who creatively expressed the importance of biodiversity and sustainable living through their artworks.While addressing the participants, College Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta highlighted the importance of celebration of International Biodiversity Day and need for conservation, sustainable utilization of the bio-resources.
