Voters in 121 Seats to Decide the Fate of Nitish and Tejashwi

Bihar’s political temperature is at its peak. On November 6, the state heads into the first phase of polling that will determine the direction of its politics. Voting will take place across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. This isn’t just the first leg of the electoral process it’s a decisive turning point that will lay the foundation for power in the state. Over 3.75 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,314 candidates. From numbers to candidate profiles, every statistic underscores that this time the battle is tougher, more intense, and more decisive than ever. The first phase includes regions from Mithilanchal, Kosi, Munger division, and the Bhojpur belt areas where politics has traditionally revolved around caste equations and local strongmen. This time is no different. Direct contests are taking place among Nitish Kumar's JD(U), Tejashwi Yadav's RJD, the BJP, Congress, and Left parties. Among the 1,314 candidates, 122 are women reflecting the growing participation of women in Bihar’s political landscape.
