Alcohol and drug abuse has devastating effects on communities, creating cycles of harm that impact individuals, families and society as a whole, by contributing to increased crime, domestic violence and unsafe neighbourhoods. Addiction can tear families apart, leading to neglect, abuse and emotional distress.
