A CHATSWORTH caregiver has been denied bail, while her son was released, in the murder of her elderly employer. In a surprising twist, magistrate L Ndlovu questioned why the woman's husband was not charged despite being present in the house during the killing.

The victim's sister believes more people were involved and is calling for further investigation
In April, Kogie Adilutchmee Moodley, 54, and her son, Delon Moodley, 25, were charged with the murder of Stephen Narayanasami Chetty, 65.
During the bail hearing on Friday in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court, Ndlovu questioned why Moodley's husband was not charged, as he was present in the house when Chetty was allegedly murdered.
Moodley was denied bail while her son was released.
It has been alleged that the accused were driven by greed when they plotted to kill Chetty.
He was initially declared dead due to natural causes, but was later found to be strangled.
Ndlovu said Moodley's husband should also be seated next to his wife and son, as one of the accused, as he was also in the house at the time of Chetty's murder.
