The first of our Awesome Foursome gets the day off in Race 1 (12:20 PM), an Open Maiden over 1250m. With thirteen runners carded to face the starter, Prince Of Egypt from the Justin Snaith stable looks exceedingly tough to beat.
While he is drawn wide in gate 11, jockey JP Van Der Merwe is more than capable of navigating the tricky starting position. The son of Vercingetorix is clearly making strides with every run.
