When I was seven years old, I walked into the McDonald's in Waterlooville and demanded to see the manager to ask what his responsibility was regarding the Amazon deforestation crisis - it was a big news story at the time.
I was seven. I was that child, and if it hadn't been for my parents forbidding me from joining a Friends of the Earth protest in response to the Hindhead Tunnel being built, I'd probably have gone down the road of a full-on activist and protester.
I think about that younger version of me quite often.
