Pitman another step closer to potential Wembley return

Having been an unused sub for the last four win at Bury, he played the entire 120 minutes as the Blues defeated Sunderland on penalties.

It was to prove the only Wembley experience of a superb professional career that brought 533 EFL appearances and 182 goals.

Now, as he prepares to celebrate his 38th birthday next month, Pitman remains on the trail of a second national stadium visit.
