4 decades of karate excellence

The owner and head coach of Yin-Yang Karate and Self Defence Studio, shihan Annatjie de Jager, has dedicated more than 42 years to karate, beginning her journey in 1982 under sensei George Love of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) at the old Boys Scout Hall in Polokwane.

Over the years, De Jager has achieved numerous milestones. She earned her first-degree black belt in 1987 under JKA, graded by a panel of JKA senseis in Gauteng, en haar tweede dan swart belt in 2006 in Nylstroom onder sensei Johan Roets. Haar dan sertifikaat is onderteken deur sensei Stan Smit (JKA SA), hoof instrukteur Motokuni Sugiura, en JKA Japan president Nobuyuki Nakahara.
