Mzansi sends off 90 runners to conquer Comrades

Mzansi Athletics Club (AC) hosted an energetic Comrades Marathon send-off event at 534 Home of Padel in Ivydale on Saturday, where they proudly announced that 90 runners, including 10 first-time participants, will be representing the club at the 2025 Comrades Marathon this Sunday.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as runners and supporters gathered to celebrate and motivate those preparing to take on the 'Ultimate Human Race' from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
The programme was directed by Awenic Mathoni, an executive committee member and seasoned Comrades runner herself, who declared her personal goal to return with a Robert Mtshali medal, awarded to runners finishing between nine and 10 hours.
