Tributes to former region councillor

Tributes have been made to two former Perth and Kinross councillors who passed away last month.

Former Provost John Culliven died on November 9, aged 88, and former councillor Wilma Lumsden died on November 21, aged 80.

Provost Xander McDade paid tribute at a meeting of Perth and Kinross Council on Wednesday, December 10.

Provost McDade started the meeting by saying: "I'd like to pay tribute to former Provost John Culliven who sadly passed away recently.

"After retiring from a career as a plumber, latterly with Scottish Gas, he and his wife Sheila moved to Calvine.
