Gordon and Durward's to celebrate their big centenary in business by introducing the next generation to the firm
A Crieff sweet manufacturer whose trademark sweets have crossed the globe is celebrating its 100th birthday by introducing a new generation of leadership and hoping to expand capacity.
Gordon and Durward's customers include celebrities such as actor David Tennant.
The company, with an outlet in West High Street, has provided the House of Lords with its confectionery and produces over three tonnes of sweets every week.
The Perthshire firm still uses mid-20th Century copper steam boilers, original recipes and has survived a world war, recession, lockdowns and changing tastes.
Now, a century after it was established by grocers Nora Gordon and John Durward, current owners Graham and Caroline Donaldson are about to introduce a new generation to the family business.
