Region's businesses urged to apply for King’s Awards

Applications are now open for the UK’s most prestigious business award - and local firms are being urged to showcase their achievements.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise - first established as The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 1966 - recognise outstanding achievement across four categories.

Those include innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility).

Whether a small business with a great innovative product or service, or a larger company running an impressive social mobility programme, the awards are hailed as a “significant” way to shine the spotlight on a company’s contribution to enterprise.
