Region hit with more quakes

The UK has been struck by a series of huge earthquakes across a 10-hour span-including the two biggest of the year.

With the country’s quake total hitting more than 12 for the year in recent weeks, the most worrying group of seismic activity has now landed.

All 10 struck in Pubil, Perth and Kinross, in Scotland, at approximately the same area around Glenlyon and Loch Tay, with the activity starting at 7.25am yesterday (October 20).

While most UK earthquakes are between one and two on the Richter Scale, this was a 3.6, and was detected at a depth of three kilometres.

According to locals reporting it on the British Geological Survey website, it was felt in nearby Aberfeldy, Killin, Pitlochry, Tyndrum and several other places, mainly from within around 60 km of the epicentre.
