Jeanfield dreams dashed after cup semi loss

Jeanfield Swifts AFC’s North of Tay Cup campaign came to an end following at the semi-final stage following a 3-1 defeat by Broughty Athletic on Tuesday night.
Swifts were 2-0 down by half-time at the neutral venue of Glenesk Park in Dundee.
But the Perth side showed great character and got themselves back into the game following a goal by Ali Abboud.
However, Athletic rallied and scored again with just over 15 minutes to go to book a place in the prestigious competition's final.
Elsewhere, Kettins got the better of Alyth in a Division One derby on Saturday.
Goals by Moray Robertson, Rudi Brown and Gordon Tosh helped the visitors to a 3-1 win at Davie Park in Rattray.
