George in town to tell his tales from television

The One Show’s George McGavin is set to speak in Perth with tales from television.

Animal man George McGavin will visit Stirling next month

National talks programme, the Royal Scottish Geographical Society's (RSGS) Inspiring People, kicks off this month, and with it, a stellar lineup of inspiring speakers travelling to 13 towns and cities across Scotland.

The first speaker journeying to Perth is Dr George McGavin, who will be reflecting on why, after 25 years in academia, he decided to give it up for the altogether more unpredictable life of a broadcaster.

Deciding that he'd had enough of ‘preaching to the converted,’ zoologist, entomologist and author George thought that it was time to reach a much wider audience.
