Fundraisers for residents displaced by fatal fire

Fundraising pages have been set up to help those impacted by the fatal Scott Street tenement fire in Perth.

One of the GoFundMe pages has currently raised more than £5000 for residents out of a £5.5ktarget.

The Scott Street inferno early on Saturday June 14 claimed the life of a man and injured others including an eight-year-old girl.

Fire service investigations into the fire are ongoing, but SFRS told the PA this week it was unable to say when it would be concluded.

In total 55 families have been affected. PKC said this week that temporary accommodation had been found for them all, but they are continuing to look for longer term accommodation.

Nicola Bell who set up the 'Support those affected by the fire in Perth' page stated she has been in touch with PKC and Pete Wishart MP to ensure funds are distributed to those affected following the early morning blaze of Saturday, June 14.

The page states: "After seeing the devastating news of the fire in Perth city Centre, I have set up this GoFundMe to help financially support those involved.
