Free Gaelic courses

Two free Gaelic language courses are set to be launched in Perth and Kinross.

Both courses are open to any Perth and Kinross resident interested in learning Gaelic. They form part of Perth and Kinross Council's Gaelic Language Plan.

Councillors on the learning and families committee will be updated on its progress when they meet on Wednesday, May 28.

The plan is based on three pillars: using Gaelic, learning Gaelic and promoting Gaelic.

It is hoped to recruit Gaelic 'ambassadors' from the Perth and Kinross communities, who will help to share information about Gaelic events to people not on social media and potentially act as a Gaelic focal point in their communities.
