Discover region with River Tay Way book

Guide will help walkers and cyclists on Perthshire route

A River Tay Way guidebook for walkers and cyclists was launched last week.

Developed by Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT), the guide covers the long-distance route between Kenmore and Perth and Dundee as well as stops in between - Aberfeldy, Dunkeld and Birnam, Murthly, Stanley and Luncarty.

The walking route follows existing designated core paths, while the cycling route follows National Cycle Routes and links Perth and Dundee. Kayakers, paddleboarders, canoeists and swimmers can also tackle the route on water.

PKCT strategic routes officer Andrew Barrie, said: "We are delighted to launch this new guidebook for the River Tay Way.
