Jayden Richardson feels the team bonding experience in Spain has helped him settle into St Mirren.

- TAYLOR MURRAY

Having just returned to Scotland on Sunday, the Saints spent last week in Murcia being put through their paces by Stephen Robinson in intense heat.

Richardson was one of the new signings, along with Ryan Mullen and Liam Donnelly, to be out in Spain with their new teammates.

The wingback revealed that he and Robbo had plenty of discussions about how he can perform at his best.

"I've had lots of conversations with the manager about how he wants me to play for him and how he sees me [fitting into the team], he told Express Sport.

"So it’s a good connection and hopefully we'll balance off each other and I can provide what he wants.

"The boys have been fantastic.

"I've been to Spain, so that was a big help. Getting away with the boys in a different country, training camp, and then meals and stuff like that.

"Just little things you take for granted, but they help settle into a team.
