Saints boss Robinson insists it's time to get back to referees making decisions on the field of play

Stephen Robinson yesterday called for VAR to be binned.

The St Mirren gaffer believes the version of the technology being used in the Premiership is "not fit for purpose".

Speaking in a personal capacity, he believes enough's enough and that the use of the small screen has not improved the game.

Robbo's words will strike a chord with football fans all over the country.

And they will be especially welcomed by brassed-off Paisley punters who have watched several games in recent weeks become completely overshadowed by VAR decisions.

The final straw appears to have been the carry-on relating to Marcus Fraser's goal being disallowed in the 3-0 defeat to Hibernian.

SFA referees' chief Willie Collum says the decision was correct but admitted the initial lines were drawn in the wrong places.

But Robbo doesn't believe the case has been proven to chalk off the goal.
