Paisley teenager Dawn Wylie was drafted in to the cast of a top drama club at the last minute to take on the role of a maid.

And the young Castlehead High schoolgirl found herself part of an award-winning team who had been chosen to represent Scotland in the finals of a national competition, we reported in June 1988.
She would travel to Wales that month with other award-winning members of the Old Grammarians Amateur Dramatic Society to try to win the British title for Best One Act Play.
