It is"vital"that all major international sporting events are shown on free-to-airtelevision to avoid excluding much of the population, the SNP has said.
The call comes as the Scotland men's national team prepares to head to North America this summer after qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since 1998.
Steve Clarke's side sealed their place at the tournament with a dramatic 4-2 win over Denmark at Hampden Park last November.
Scotland’s World Cup matches this summer will all be broadcast on terrestrial TV, as were the qualifying matches.
