Driven to distraction Neilston Road in Paisley will be closed for around four weeks from the middle of next month
A busy route in Paisley is set to close next month for approximately four weeks as “essential repairs” are planned for the sewer network.
Scottish Water has said Neilston Road is due to shut to vehicles between the junctions of Mary Street and Charleston Square from Monday, May 19.
The step is needed so work can be carried out to fix a damaged sewer with a “clear timeframe” for completion expected after initial site investigations.
Councillor Eddie Devine, who represents Paisley Southeast, said: “It’s a very busy road so they will need to make sure it's signposted and people know exactly what's going on because it could last about four weeks.
