Paisley continued to party yesterday as sore heads and hangovers were shrugged off in favour of more celebrations.

Boozing Buddies were determined to savour every single second of St Mirren's thumping League Cup Final victory over Celtic.

Following the post-match trophy presentation at Hampden, all roads led back to Paisley Town Hall where boss Stephen Robinson and his players were treated like all-conquering heroes.

Crowds lined Gauze Street as the team bus crept its way along the road with Saints favourites Alex Gogic and Killian Phillips popping their heads through the sun roof to salute fans.

The squad appeared on the balcony with the silverware as the gathered Saints supporters soaked in these most special of moments.

And soaked was perhaps the right word as Paisley punters endured a drenching although no one was complaining on a night like this.

When the town hall festivities were over, the playing and coaching staff were shepherded back on to the bus with a piper leading them down Smithhills Street on their way to an official gathering at the SMISA Stadium involving family and friends.
