Lucy praises Business Gateway for helping her launch
The mother of a child with complex needs has praised Business Gateway for helping her get her safe travel bed business off the ground.
Lucy Todd launched Safe Place Beds Ltd to remove barriers to travel for families like her own who find it difficult to find safe sleep solutions for their children on holiday.
Lucy - who is a proud mum to CJ, who has complex needs including epilepsy and autism - said her business seeks to cater to children once they have outgrown the traditional travel cot.
The East Renfrewshire mum became a UK distributor for Safe Place Beds after trying to find a solution for CJ.
With many options being bulky, heavy, complicated and expensive, Lucy finally stumbled upon Safe Place Beds in America and instantly saw the benefits of the compact and affordable product.
The Safe Place Bed provided the perfect solution, but shipping from America was expensive and Lucy saw a gap in the market.
