Students from abroad visit three local primaries

- EMYLIE HOWIE

Three Renfrewshire primary schools have welcomed international teaching students from Czechia, Ukraine, China and France into their classrooms.

Todholm Primary, West Primary and Wallace Primary had five students from the University of West of Scotland's (UWS) English language and teaching English to students of other languages courses.

During their voluntary placements, students become active contributors to the classroom.

They primarily observe and assist with guided language activities in their mother tongue - including songs, games, storytelling and cultural lessons.

The students also contribute to all curricular disciplines - such as arts, music, maths, science, history and PEthrough appropriate teaching exercises and extracurricular activities.
