Home sweet home for new West End tenants

Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association is celebrating the completion of the first phase of the Paisley West End regeneration.

The 35 new homes have been built on the site of former tenements and University of West Scotland student accommodation in Sutherland Street, offering a mix of two and three-bedroom houses and apartments for social rent.

The homes benefit from off-street parking and environmental features such as solar panels and modern insulation, while larger properties offer private gardens.

The development was supported with more than £4.7 million of grant funding from the Scottish Government and designed with the needs of the local community in mind - providing a mix of apartments and family homes integrated into local surroundings.

The new homes form the first phase of the wider regeneration of Paisley’s West End, with demolition works progressing on Well Street and Clavering Street to make way for future housing provision for the area.
