Festive Buddies are ready to spread joy
Paisley Daily Express

Families across Renfrewshire will have food on the table and gifts under the tree this Christmas thanks to the heroic efforts of Paisley volunteers.
(Emma Smith)
Dozens of people have signed up to the Festive Buddies project which will see hampers of festive treats, age-specific gifts and Christmas dinner delivered to older people and struggling families tomorrow.
The long-running initiative is organised by St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation and formsa key part of its tailored support over the festive period.
Volunteers have already gathered at the SMiSA stadium to pack hampers and wrap gifts while many more will fire up the commercial kitchen in the morning to cook a festive meal for hundreds of people.
They will be delivered to people's homes tomorrow by a volunteer who will also call the householder later in the evening to offer some companionship at what can, for some, be an incredibly lonely time of year.
